A couple of recent photos that show how this once steep jungle ridge line is being transformed into an airstrip.
Pictures taken of the airstrip excavation work after only 13 full working days with the Bobcat.
Airstrip construction began in October 2005, with 100 men working daily to clear trees and underbrush. The airstrip is marked out to be over 1,000 feet long by 100 feet wide.
